There was a time when I measured my worth by hours.

Hourly rate? Check.
Booked calendar? Winning.
Exhausted by 7PM? Must be doing something right.

But then something happened that cracked my brain open:

A client said this after a 20-minute call:

“That one insight just saved me 6 months. Can I hire you again?”

Six. Months.
From 20 minutes.

And that’s when it hit me:

I wasn’t being paid for my time
I was being paid for the value I created.

💡 And value comes from one thing: solving problems.

The bigger the problem you solve?
The more value you create.
And the more the marketplace rewards you.

Or as the famous Charlie Munger said in this speech:

“The safest way to try and get what you want, is to try and deserve what you want. You want to deliver to the world what you would buy if you were on the other end.”

I LOVE this simple idea. Or simply to get what you want, deliver what you would buy.

It’s not about working harder.
It’s about working on the right thing—the thing people would gladly pay for because it saves them time, pain, confusion, or lost opportunity.

This shift changed everything:

  • I stopped charging for hours.

  • I started focusing on outcomes.

  • And I looked for bigger, juicier problems to solve.

Because the secret isn’t being busy.
It’s being valuable.

Solve → Don’t Sell

Most people try to sell value.
Top entrepreneurs just create it.

Ask yourself:

  • “What urgent problem can I solve today?”

  • “Where is my market already in pain?”

  • “What do I know that others would pay to shortcut?”

The money follows the value.
And the value follows the problem.

Here’s how to become the person people want to pay:

  1. Start with pain.
    What keeps your audience up at night? What are they Googling at 2AM?

  2. Package the shortcut.
    Your value is in the shortcut—what you’ve figured out that others haven’t yet.

  3. Make the result clear.
    Don’t sell “coaching” or “strategy.” Sell outcomes. Solve the thing.

  4. Price the result, not the time.
    If you solve a $10,000 problem, don’t charge $200 for an hour.

The market doesn’t pay for effort.
It pays for impact.
